Colby Covington has reignited his ongoing feud with LeBron James.
Covington, who has made his feelings about James clear on multiple occasions, continued to express his discontent during a recent podcast appearance by accusing the Lakers’ star of endangering police officers.
Covington remarked, “That’s why I laugh at LeBron James. Dude, you’re talking negatively. You’re putting police officers in harm’s way, yet you rely on police security to protect your own family.”
LeBron James has been vocal about his stance on police violence, tweeting “You’re next #accountability,” following the death of a 16-year-old last year. He later removed the tweet when more details emerged.
Prior to his recent fight with Jorge Masvidal, Covington labeled James as a spineless coward whom he did not respect.
“I want to express my gratitude to the true heroes and noteworthy celebrities in this country. Not individuals like LeBron James who lack courage and espouse woke beliefs. I mean our heroes – law enforcement, military personnel, and first responders. Bless you all.”
Despite Covington’s jabs, LeBron James has not engaged in a public back-and-forth, treating the situation similarly to his approach with Skip Bayless.
