The Los Angeles Clippers’ season came to a disappointing end on Tuesday night, as they fell short in a crucial Game 7. The team’s lackluster performance in the third and fourth quarters of the game has been attributed to a significant factor.

The Clippers went into halftime with a narrow two-point lead in Game 7 before experiencing a notable drop-off in the latter half of the game. They managed to score only 15 points in the fourth quarter. According to a report by Marc J. Spears of The Undefeated, several Clippers players requested to be substituted out of the game in the fourth quarter due to extreme fatigue.

Head coach Doc Rivers acknowledged after the game that his players displayed visible signs of exhaustion during Game 7. Rivers pointed out that the situation was exacerbated by having multiple players dealing with the challenges of being in and out of the bubble.

Despite the disappointing end to their season, the Clippers are expected to be strong contenders in the upcoming season. However, their path to success may face added challenges with the return of the Golden State Warriors at full strength.
