It was a weekend marked by a disturbing spike in violence that claimed the lives of at least six children in shootings across the United States.

The children, aged between 6 and 14, tragically lost their lives while carrying out everyday activities such as riding in a car with their mother, walking in a mall, and playing in a yard with their cousins, as reported by CNN.

Jason Whitlock, known for his criticism of Colin Kaepernick and LeBron James, took to Twitter on Monday to call them out and demand they speak out about the devastating loss of the children to gun violence. He also raised concerns about Nike and China in connection to the issue.

Whitlock has previously expressed his belief that Kaepernick and LeBron tend to speak out only when African-American individuals are killed by individuals of other races, rather than addressing violence within the black community.

On Tuesday, LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers responded to the tragic incident on Twitter, expressing his deep sadness and disbelief at the loss of innocent and beautiful children. He extended his thoughts and prayers to the families of the victims and wished for them to rest in peace.
