Odell Beckham Jr made a decision that landed him in serious trouble when he chose to behave differently from other LSU alumni during a recent event.

An arrest warrant has been issued for the Cleveland Browns wide receiver after he was seen playfully smacking a police officer’s behind in the LSU Tigers locker room following a victory over the Clemson Tigers.

The officer involved reported feeling so offended by the action that he had to control himself from reacting aggressively towards Odell.

New Orleans District Attorney Leon Cannizzaro addressed the situation on Friday and made a plea for Odell to turn himself in to the authorities.

“I would hope that he would turn himself in so this matter can be disposed of,” Cannizzaro expressed, according to comments from Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com.

Cannizzaro went on to criticize Odell for diverting attention away from the extraordinary achievements of the college football team with post-game antics.

“It’s very disturbing to me, I will be very candid with you about that,’’ Cannizzaro, who will decide whether to prosecute Beckham, said. “At a time when we should be celebrating in my opinion, probably one of the greatest football teams in the history of America, probably one of the best quarterbacks we’ve ever seen in the history of this country, a great coaching staff, when all of the focus should be on these young men and their accomplishments, unfortunately we see this very, very silly and uncalled for event by someone that has now caused the whole focus of what should be a celebratory event to be now sanctioned and to be scrutinized now by LSU, to be scrutinized by the SEC, by the NCAA, by the NFL and now our police department and ultimately this office.”

The offense could result in a fine of up to $1,000 and a maximum prison sentence of six months.
