A 22-year-old Kenyan, Ezekiel Kipsang, who resides in Ottawa, claimed victory at the Miami Marathon in his first-ever attempt at running the distance on Sunday. He completed the race in a remarkable time of 2 hours, 16 minutes, and 34 seconds, finishing ahead of the runner-up, Jacob Chemtai from Kenya, by 34 seconds. In the women’s race, Kate Landau from Washington overcame her ailments to secure victory with a time of 2:37:45, while Mary Akor from California finished as the runner-up. The women’s race winner battled cramps and nausea during her run.

The marathon saw over 20,000 participants braving the humid and windy weather to showcase their love for the sport. Ezekiel Kipsang’s exceptional performance left spectators in awe as he efficiently managed his time, displayed a remarkable spirit, and crossed the finish line victoriously. His high energy levels and unwavering determination made it challenging for other runners to keep up with him. His sportsmanship and confidence propelled him ahead without any signs of slowing down.
