Hosung Choi and his unique golf swing are set to make waves on the PGA Tour. While his technique may not be textbook, his style certainly stands out. Daniel Rapaport from SI explains why Choi brings a much-needed breath of fresh air to the golfing world.
“Fans are going to love him, and his presence is beneficial for golf,” says Rapaport. “The sport requires characters like him. The tour is currently filled with similar personalities, and we need more diversity like Choi’s.”
Choi, a 45-year-old from South Korea, will showcase his skills at the upcoming AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am event from Feb. 7-10, marking his debut on the prestigious PGA Tour.
