Urban Meyer, Ohio State coach reveals reason behind his constant headaches

The acclaimed Ohio State coach Urban Meyer has revealed that a massive congenital arachnoid cyst present on his brain leads him to have “aggressive” headaches and the cyst on his brain played a crucial role in making him go down on his knees in a game against Indiana on 6th of October. When Meyer was the head coach, he led the Buckeyes to grasp a lot of wins even a national championship award.

But there are rumours which are circulating on the fact that Meyer’s medical condition has to potential to put his career in the sideline. Even if Meyer tells that he is fine and he will be leading the Buckeyes in 2019. Meyer was first diagnosed with the cyst on his brain in the year 1998 when he acted as the assistant coach at Notre Dame. Just a few years ago Meyer had a crucial surgery.

As of now, Meyer controls the headaches which are the result of the cyst with medication. There was speculation that Meyer might step down from coaching by the end of 2018. In a news conference which was held earlier this week, Meyer was enquired whether he will step down after the season ends? To which Meyer said that he has seen and heard a few people in the media feel that he should retire after this season, but he plans to continue with coaching.

Reportedly, Meyer had spoken to the reporters the following day and cleared up the questions related to his future at Ohio State and why did Meyer seem to look like he is uncomfortable on the sidelines many a time this season. Occasionally Meyer suffers from terrible headaches which are directly connected to the cyst. The arachnoid cyst is a collection of fluid that is surrounded by many layers in the brain.
