The state coach of Ohio, Urban Meyer has revealed on Monday that he intends to coach in 2019 amidst of the rumours which suggest that he is going to step down at the end of the season next year.

The 54-year-old coach told at his weekly news conference that he had made plans for coaching. Later Meyer was reportedly pushed on with the idea, and he was asked if he would be coming back next season and he replied to the question with a yes.

Many people all over the state have noted down Meyer’s attitude and said that his demeanour is on the sideline this season. Kirk Herbstreit, the analyst of ESPN, has told that Meyer was looking anguished during the games. On October 13th during the win of Ohio state with 30-14 and winning over Minnesota, Meyer was seen punching the air with agitation multiple times, and he even threw off his headset along with his play sheet in frustration.

Paul Finebaum, ESPN also told that these might be the signs that the 54-year-old coach may retire soon. Finebaum mentioned this by watching Meyer and Finebaum also sensed at Meyer’s time was coming to an end at the Ohio State. Paul Finebaum also concluded that Meyer’s health might also be a precursor as he walked away at the end of the season.

Meyer returned to the sideline after he served a suspension for three-game for mismanagement of the employment of Zach Smith, the former wide receiver coach of Ohio State who has been struggling on defence. On 20th Oct, the Buckeyes lost to Purdue with 49-20.

At the Monday’s conference, Meyer was asked about his health to which he said that he is fine now and he doesn’t want people to worry about him. Back in 2009, Meyer reportedly took a leave of absence and didn’t coach Florida due to health and family concerns.
