Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook formed a strong duo during their time playing together for the OKC Thunder. However, their partnership took a sour turn when Durant decided to leave the team in free agency to join the Golden State Warriors, the team that had just defeated OKC in the playoffs.
During a recent appearance on the “Million Dollaz Worth Of Game” podcast with hosts Gillie Da King and Wallo267, Durant was asked to list the top-5 players he has played with in his career. Surprisingly, he omitted Russell Westbrook and instead mentioned:
- Kyrie Irving
- James Harden
- Stephen Curry
- Klay Thompson
- Serge Ibaka
Durant later realized his mistake when reminded of Westbrook’s absence on his list. He acknowledged the oversight and promptly added Westbrook back in, replacing Serge Ibaka.
In a humble response, Durant admitted, “Oh, (expletives), I am tripping. Russ, yeah. I did forget about Russ. Russ would definitely be in the top five.”
Durant expressed gratitude for being corrected, showing his respect for Westbrook in retrospect.
