Following the Seattle Seahawks’ narrow 17-16 victory over the Denver Broncos on Monday night, a number of Seahawks players appeared to express discontent with Russell Wilson’s performance on the field.

Russell Wilson, who had spent his first ten seasons with the Seahawks, was outperformed by Geno Smith in his debut with the Broncos, according to former Seahawk Richard Sherman.

Richard Sherman, a three-time All-Pro player during his seven seasons with the Seahawks, took to Twitter to comment on the game and reminisce about the Seahawks’ loss in Super Bowl XLIX, posting a cryptic tweet that alluded to the challenging nature of goal-to-go situations during the game.

After the game, former Seahawks wide receiver Doug Baldwin also took to Twitter to celebrate the Seahawks’ victory over Wilson and the Broncos, posting a tweet that hinted at his true feelings about Wilson’s performance.

Despite Wilson’s solid performance, wherein he completed 29 of 42 pass attempts for 340 yards and a touchdown, Geno Smith’s 23-of-28 completion rate for 195 yards and two touchdowns overshadowed Wilson’s efforts.
