The situation continues to worsen for Chael Sonnen.

The former mixed martial arts fighter turned MMA analyst is facing accusations of assaulting a woman and her husband in Las Vegas in December. The alleged incident, detailed by TMZ, involves Sonnen reportedly throwing a woman into a light fixture and hitting her at the Four Seasons Hotel, amidst a confrontation with several other individuals, including security guards.

Just last week, it was reported that Sonnen is facing a felony charge of battery by strangulation along with 10 misdemeanor battery charges.

According to recent police reports, Sonnen allegedly punched a man in the face upon exiting his hotel room. The man then sought security after returning to his room. Subsequently, Sonnen reportedly confronted a couple in the hallway and acted aggressively towards them.

Christopher Stellpflug and his wife, Julie Stellpflug, recounted to the police that Sonnen physically attacked them. Julie attempted to intervene as Sonnen assaulted Christopher by knocking him to the ground and repeatedly hitting him. In the course of the altercation, Sonnen allegedly threw Julie against a light fixture and struck her in the face, leading to her sustaining a split lip as per police reports.

The Stellpflugs are pursuing legal action against Sonnen, claiming they both suffered concussions as a result of the altercation.

Sonnen stated to the police that he had no recollection of the events when questioned. He mentioned that he and his wife had taken a sleeping pill prior to the alleged incident and could not recall any further details.

A court hearing regarding Sonnen’s criminal case is set for later this week.
