Scott Van Pelt revealed that he has contracted COVID-19 and is experiencing symptoms like loss of smell and taste. These symptoms prompted him to get tested, resulting in a positive diagnosis.

Van Pelt tweeted, “Won’t be doing shows for a bit after a positive Covid-19 test. Thankfully, no fever & I feel fine. Just can’t smell or taste anything which was my clue to go get a test.” Van Pelt assured fans that he will be taking time off to recover and hopes to return soon.

Scott Van Pelt is the host of the midnight edition of ESPN SportsCenter and has been with ESPN since 2001. The 54-year-old is known for his popular segments “One Big Thing” and “Bad Beats” that gain widespread attention on a weekly basis.
