Anthony Davis should be given a standing ovation for saying this, but he is completely wrong in his way. But, looking at his perspective, it can be said that it is laudable. When he faced an interview with Rachel Nichols, he explained that why he thinks himself as the best player in the NBA. As everybody knows that Rachel is the best interviewer of all times for the NBA players, she challenged this player on the notion mentioning LeBron James and Kevin Durant the two players in the top two position in the league right now.
Brow did not back down from this, though. He was reported saying in the interview that he sees himself as the best player in the league currently and the most dominant player as well from the league. He thinks that it is time for that step and only you get a short window, and he doesn’t want that window to close, so he thinks that now it is his time.
Although he was not sure about saying about KD and James that they play on both sides of the ball, but he said it anyway. Later he continued with what he can do and stopped talking about what others can or can’t do. This is true that although Durant has improved on defence during the regular season for a couple of years, it is still going on.
Later, Rachel acknowledged the player by saying that he can only go as far as the team around him is supposed to go, but to her response, the player told that will there be a point for you that if the Pelicans can’t get you deep into the NBA playoffs, that you will have to think of going somewhere else!
