Skater Adam Rippon denied job offer from NBC

On Sunday offered him a job, but the skater Adam Rippon has denied from accepting the job offer. It seems that Rippon wants to remain as an Olympian. Yes, it is true. As peer his announcement, still now he is not ready to travel from the Olympic Athlete’s Village to NBC. Rippon is a well-known personality in the Winter Olympic has emerged as a fan favorite icon and he has been mesmerizing his fans through his skating.

Commenting on the job offer Rippon tweeted “I am flattered that NBC wanted me to work as a correspondent for them here in PyeongChang. Doing this would require me to leave Team USA and move out of the Olympic Village. I don’t want to do that.” He informed that he came to know about this via Twitter.

He expressed his feeling for his teammates, fans, and supporters and further tweeted “I love being on Team USA and representing our country. My teammates were there for me during my events, and now I NEED to be there for them. I look forward to being with them, and I’m very excited for the rest of the competition. Go Team USA!!!”

On Sunday, NBC network made an announcement that it was hiring Rippon and also Tweeted this with Rippon’s photo and captioned that Welcome to the NBC team. But, later Rippon responded and said he will not join NBC. After that, NBC had deleted its posts on Twitter.

He is now in the headlines as he is the first openly gay U.S. athlete who is competing in the Olympic. He helped the United States to win the bronze medal during U.S. team figure skating event and in men’s single event he came 10th. For his creative and refreshing speech, he became one of the biggest stars in the winter Olympic.
