Historic triumph for Nagasu in Figure skating after tears

Mirai Nagasu, Figure Skater of America, was heartbroken 4 years ago. Being left off the American team for the Olympics at Sochi for a woman who had the lower rank than her in the prime qualifying event had devastated her.

However, Monday was the day when the woman whose immigrants parents from Japan made history by attaining a remarkable position.  The parents of the winner skater have a sushi restaurant. Her mother tailored her costumes and the daughter added glory to the family. She is the first woman in America along with being the third woman to master the challenging jump of Axel at the Winter Olympics.

Nagasu was skating routine of stellar in the portion of free skate for women in the competition. She started off with a crystal clear triple Axel and continued eight triple jumps in her performance.  She also includes triple flip along with a combination of Salchow which helped her in bagging the bronze medal.

Overwhelmed 24-year-old Mirai, was skating for the second time in Olympics. She was seen grinning and pumping her fists while making her way on the ice.

After her performance, she stated to feel great. She shared her amazing experience by saying that she felt like she was getting into a train for which she had to gain speed and hop on the tracks. She could see her teammates cheering for her in the crowd.

She carried the legacy of Japanese skater Mao Asada and Midori Ito to be the winner at the Olympics in figure skating.

She excitedly states that it might be the Japanese genetics that is the lucky charm for her even after being in America.   She further stated that she would be the first American lady to do so.
