Jake Paul is known for provoking a reaction from people.

After his recent viral knockout in the ring, Paul has thrown down a challenge to former UFC double champion Daniel Cormier.

The clash initiated when Cormier expressed his disapproval of a video showing Jake Paul’s team member J’Leon Love in a verbal exchange with Tyron Woodley.

Responding to Cormier’s remark, Jake Paul tweeted:

During ESPN’s DC & Helwani show, Cormier rejected Jake Paul’s proposal.

“I’m not going to entertain the idea of fighting some YouTube kid who hasn’t proven himself. It’s just ridiculous and nonsensical,” said Cormier.

Cormier suggested, “I’d prefer to see him fight Tyron. I want him to take on someone credible. Not like Ben Askren who fought at 190 pounds overweight.”

Expanding on his feud with Cormier during his brother Logan Paul’s podcast, Jake Paul remarked:

Via Logan Paul’s IMPAULSIVE:

“This guy Daniel Cormier was all in on Ben Askren, saying he’d defeat Jake, but after I knocked him out, he’s there on Twitter criticizing Ben. I’ll take you down too, just like Stipe did, Cleveland pride. I’ll put you in your place.”

“This guy won’t ever step into the ring with me. I’d dominate him. Why would I stoop to his level?” Cormier commented. “But my initial reaction was, ‘I can’t bear this guy.’ So it seems to work! I can’t tolerate this guy! But you shouldn’t belittle others. I’m the Hall of Fame guy, the two-belt champ.”

“To prove yourself, fight a middleweight (185 lbs in MMA). Take on Luke Rockhold! Fight someone of that caliber. Then I’ll acknowledge your skills and call you a real fighter. Right now, it all seems phony. It’s all a show.”
