Shortly before revealing his positive COVID-19 test result, sources have disclosed that Russell Westbrook was spotted enjoying a poolside party at Encore Beach Club at Wynn Las Vegas, as per the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

The Houston Rockets point guard reportedly socialized with friends including former NFL player Reggie Bush, jewelry designer Greg Yuna, bodybuilders Mike Rashid and Valeriu Guto, and Wynn club host Jai Shaun White on June 13th at the outdoor club.

The group even posed for a group picture as shown above.

A witness who had recently visited Las Vegas confirmed seeing Westbrook strolling the strip.

“Russell Westbrook was walking the strip in Las Vegas with his entourage on Thursday morning… I was there, can confirm, couldn’t take a picture for obvious reasons.”

Westbrook announced on social media on Monday that he had tested positive for COVID-19.

Wynn Las Vegas, following their hotel policy, did not disclose personal information regarding their guests:

“Any guest diagnosed with COVID-19 while visiting the resort is reported to the Southern Nevada Health District, which conducts community contact tracing,” the statement clarified. “Our internal contact tracing identifies individuals the guest has interacted with and the areas they have visited; relevant contacts are advised for testing, and the visited areas are thoroughly sanitized.”

Rockets head coach Mike D’Antoni responded to the Westbrook situation:

“He said what he said, and that’s what we’re dealing with,” D’Antoni remarked, as per Michael C. Wright of NBA.com. “A lot of teams are dealing with it, but we’re overcoming it together.”
