“Alabama cornerback Eli Ricks was arrested in Laurel, Miss. on Sunday evening for charges of speeding, no insurance and possession of marijuana in the first offense, according to the inmate roster for the Jones County Sheriff’s Department.

His bond was set at $0.”

Ricks, a 6-foot-2 cornerback from California, began his collegiate journey at LSU where he received accolades like Freshman All-SEC and AP All-American in his debut season.

After the departure of head coach Ed Orgeron, he made the decision to enter the transfer portal in November. Ricks is anticipated to vie for a starting position at Alabama, following the departure of starting cornerback Josh Jobe to the NFL.
