In July, Richard Sherman was arrested following an incident at his in-laws’ home in Redmond, Washington. He faced five misdemeanor charges, including two related to domestic violence, criminal trespass in the second degree, malicious mischief in the third degree, resisting arrest, driving under the influence, and reckless endangerment of roadway workers.

Sherman entered a plea of not guilty for all charges and is currently undergoing counseling. In a Twitter statement, he expressed deep remorse for his actions, admitting to behavior he is not proud of.

Recently, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers signed the accomplished cornerback.

When reporters inquired about his arrest, Sherman openly addressed the questions.

The incident prompted significant positive changes in his life, leading him to seek help, therapy, and tools to manage unresolved emotions. Sherman acknowledged the importance of asking for assistance and shared how many others have since spoken up about similar challenges, emphasizing the value of seeking support and breaking the stigma of dealing with personal struggles alone.

In a YouTube announcement on Wednesday, Sherman appeared cheerful as he highlighted his engagement in counseling and necessary medication. He credited his supportive family and wife for playing a crucial role in his journey towards improvement.
