The mother of Trevor Ariza’s 12-year-old son has accused the NBA player of physically abusing their child multiple times and is seeking a restraining order against him. Ariza is reportedly denying the allegations.

However, according to TMZ, Ariza is disputing the claims made against him. A report states:

“Ariza and his child’s mother, Lana Allen, have been involved in a custody battle. Allen recently filed new court documents in Los Angeles alleging that Ariza has engaged in a pattern of domestic violence against their child since 2019. The accusations suggest that Ariza, a professional athlete, went beyond acceptable discipline in at least two instances.

Allen asserts that she reported the alleged abuse to the LAPD, which documented the injuries and involved the Department of Child and Family Services. In the new court filings, Allen is seeking a restraining order to protect the child from Ariza, claiming that the child is scared of his father and does not feel safe in his care.”

Ariza responded by strongly refuting the claims of child abuse and expressing his commitment to clearing his name. He stated:
“The situation at hand is, in fact, [Allen’s] mistreatment of the minor child due to her continuous, cruel loyalty conflicts regarding [the child], her alienation efforts, and self-serving attempts to disrupt the relationship between father and son.”

The court has scheduled a trial for October.
