It is with deep sadness that the NBA community mourns the loss of Wes Unseld, a legendary figure with the Washington Bullets.
Unseld was a distinguished inductee into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame. He achieved accolades such as MVP and Rookie of the Year in the ’68-’69 season, made five All-Star appearances, reached four NBA finals, and clinched the championship with the Washington Bullets in ’77-’78. His son, Wes Unseld Jr., currently serves as an assistant coach with the Denver Nuggets.
He passed away at the age of 74.
