According to NFL Media’s Tom Pelissero, Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has tested positive for COVID-19 and will miss the upcoming game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Packers, who are currently on a seven-game winning streak, may face challenges as they go up against the Chiefs without Rodgers.

Additionally, the Packers have added third-string quarterback Kurt Benkert to the COVID-19 list as a precaution.

In their previous game, Rodgers threw two touchdown passes to Randall Cobb, helping the Packers defeat the undefeated Arizona Cardinals 24-21 with a critical interception by Kyler Murray at the end of the game.

Rodgers, the reigning league MVP, has played a pivotal role in Green Bay’s impressive 7-1 start to the 2021 season, accumulating 1,894 passing yards, 17 touchdowns, and only three interceptions.
