The Colts secured an impressive win against the New York Jets with a final score of 45-30, maintaining their strong position behind the Titans in the AFC South.

In the first quarter, Nyheim Hines made an impactful rush for 34 yards, scoring a vital touchdown. Throughout the game, the Colts accumulated a total of 260 rushing yards, marking the highest rushing yardage in any NFL game this season.

Head coach Frank Reich expressed his satisfaction, stating, “It takes the pressure off the passing game when you run like that. But you could sense our dominance from the early stages, especially in our performance along the line.”

Although the Jets managed to score a touchdown with three and a half minutes left in the first quarter, their momentum was disrupted when their quarterback, Mike White, sustained a right arm injury. Following this setback, the Jets struggled to match the Colts’ scoring, adding only one touchdown while the Colts secured five more. In a late effort, Michael Badgley kicked a 39-yard field goal for the Jets, but it was Josh Johnson, White’s replacement, who shone by throwing three touchdown passes in the final 18 minutes, marking a standout moment in his career at 35 years old.

Carson Wentz, the Colts’ quarterback, contributed significantly with three touchdown passes, while Hines showcased his skill with six carries for 74 yards. Meanwhile, White could only watch from the sidelines as the Jets suffered defeat.
