Tyrod Taylor lost his starting position last season due to an unexpected incident, although it seemed inevitable.

For the upcoming season, he could find himself as a starter again now that he has inked a one-year contract with the Houston Texans.

According to Schefter, Taylor will serve as a valuable backup quarterback in case anything happens with Deshaun Watson.

During the 2020 season, Taylor played in two games for the Chargers, completing 16 of 30 passing attempts (53.3 percent) for 208 yards but failing to score any touchdowns.
