On Thursday night, the Clemson Tigers were faced with unfortunate news as their standout quarterback, Trevor Lawrence, received a positive coronavirus test result.
Regrettably, Lawrence, who is considered a top contender for the No. 1 pick in the upcoming NFL draft, will not be able to participate in the upcoming games against Boston College and potentially Notre Dame.
In response to the development, Lawrence took to social media to share a statement:
According to ACC regulations, Lawrence will need to isolate for a period of 10 days following the positive test result.
He has accumulated 1,833 passing yards, 17 touchdown passes, two interceptions, and eight sacks so far this season, contributing to Clemson’s undefeated 6-0 record.
