As reported, before the involvement of Donald Trump, the situation was already resolved, and LiAngelo Ball and UCLA players were out of jail. President Donald Trump had claimed that LaVar Ball and the Ball family should have thanked him for getting out LiAngelo Ball from jail. But as of now, it has turned out that they had no reason to thank him for.
One team source stated that the situation had already resolved by the time they got to hear about the involvement of Donald Trump, and before he got involved in the matter, the players had already had their passports back and also their flights booked to go back home on Tuesday night when Gen. Kelly called out to the players.
As stated by the team source, the players had already checked into the hotel before the public got to discover that they were arrested and they were also not under house arrest. He further added that, they decided to keep them at the hotel till the matter got resolved and that the charges were dropped and they were not reduced, and that occurred two days before they heard from Gen. Kelly.
President Donald Trump eventually did get a note of thank you from LiAngelo Ball. But he never got the same from LaVar Ball. In fact, LaVar Ball took to CNN and explicitly stated that he would never thank the president.
Ball stated questioning that he won’t even tweet but is just asking as to why be such a fact on his mind. He said mocking at the fact that while all of such stuff is going on, the president has on his mind that a father did not say thank you and that the president is not even talking about what he is doing.
