A devastating report surfaced on Wednesday revealing that Josie Harris, the mother of three children with Floyd Mayweather, was found dead at her residence in Valencia, California.
TMZ has provided additional information:
“Law enforcement sources inform us that authorities responded to the residence approximately at 9:30 PM and discovered 40-year-old Harris unresponsive in her car.
She was declared deceased at the scene. There is no indication of foul play, and the incident is being handled as a death investigation rather than a homicide inquiry.”
Josie and Floyd had a troubled history together, marked by Harris accusing him of domestic violence, and Mayweather being convicted in 2010 for domestic abuse, serving a two-month prison sentence.
Interestingly, Mayweather and Harris were set to appear in court later this year due to a $20 million lawsuit Harris had initiated against Floyd. The legal action arose from Mayweather’s denial, during an interview with Katie Couric, of physically assaulting Harris in 2010; instead, Mayweather claimed he was trying to restrain her and suggested she was under the influence of drugs.
Reportedly, Harris and Mayweather were in a relationship from 1995 to 2010.
