Ray Allen said having played for Boston Celtics is one of the most important time of my life

Ray Allen, the former Boston Celtics star on Thursday spoke at the press conference of Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame moments before he was inducted that he is still in love with the city and he strongly hopes that the people of the city reminisce the good times. Allen said that “People look at how I left, but I look at how I lived while I was there.” He continued, “That to me was the most important time in my life because I had never won. That’s probably the most important thing I want people to remember is the time we spent together.”

The Celtics have learned how to win the game. Back in the year 2008, Boston went from holding the second-worst NBA record and also the worst record in the Eastern Conference to a record of 66-16 and then winning a title. Ray Allen was the only integral part of Boston Celtics in more than two ways, he was also a star and certainly, Allen was the one who sacrificed a lot more than anyone else in the team in order to make the Big Three juggernaut.

In 2008, the average points of Paul Pierce was 5.4 point in contrast to his 2007’s performance whereas average of Kevin Garnett fell 3.8 but on the other hand Allen dropped a complete 9 points every night ranging from 26.7 to 17.7 and his role also changed from being a superstar of the team to an extravagantly glorified 3-and-D player.

In 2008, the pressure was extreme as people were expecting the team to win. Allen said, “People picked us. We led wire to wire, so every loss we had seemed insurmountable. We felt like it was the low of all lows.” At the starting of this week when Doc Rivers was asked by Boston reporters, Doc said he wished that things must have ended differently between the Big Three.
