Joe Mazzulla Proposes New Innovative Rule Change For The NBA

In a recent interview, Boston Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla shared some provocative insights regarding the NBA’s regulations.

Mazzulla Advocates for More Fighting

Furthermore, the Celtics coach proposed an intriguing idea to rejuvenate the league.

“The most significant thing we’ve taken away from fans in terms of entertainment is the inability to fight anymore,” he remarked. “What’s more entertaining than a little scuffle? Why is it permissible in baseball to clear the benches, or in hockey? I just don’t understand. It baffles me that some sports are allowed to have such events considering they have bats and other implements, while we simply have a ball.”

Mazzulla’s Unconventional Coaching Style

Joe Mazzulla’s brief tenure as the head coach of the Boston Celtics has certainly been a source of entertainment for fans. His unconventional approach has become somewhat of a humorous topic within the league, often eliciting laughter from fans and officials during his puzzling postgame interviews.

Just this past Monday, Mazzulla responded to inquiries regarding star player Jayson Tatum receiving a technical foul during the Celtics’ game against the Milwaukee Bucks. The coach himself received a delay-of-game technical for vocally engaging with the referees throughout the match, and he appeared quite pleased with this.

“I mean, I enjoy yelling at those guys as well. So, I’m certainly not going to discourage [Jayson] from doing it. However, if he stops adhering to our system and defense, that’s when it becomes more problematic. But I think he managed to focus for the most part.”
