Rams Ordered to Pay Reggie Bush $12.5 Million for 2015 Injury

Los Angeles Rams have been ordered to give Reggie Bush

Due to a knee injury sustained by Reggie Bush in 2015, the Los Angeles Rams have been instructed to compensate the former NFL running back with $12.5 million. The injury occurred in St. Louis while Bush was playing for the San Francisco 49ers, slipping on concrete during a game at the Edward Jones Dome on November 1, 2015, resulting in a torn lateral meniscus and sidelining him for the season.

Expressing his satisfaction with the ruling, Bush commented that a fair decision had been made by the authorities. In response, the Rams’ attorney mentioned plans to request a new trial, while the team declined to provide further statements. In 2016, Bush filed a lawsuit against the Rams, alleging negligence in maintaining a hazardous condition at the Dome, where both he and another player, Josh McCown, suffered injuries in a similar spot.

The St. Louis jury directed the Rams to pay $4.95 million in compensatory damages and $7.5 million in punitive damages to Bush. Initially, the lawsuit targeted multiple entities, but it was later narrowed down, with the Rams becoming the sole defendant. Bush later signed a one-year deal with the Buffalo Bills in 2016, attributing his inability to secure larger contracts to the effects of the injury.
