Recently, Andre Iguodala, the Golden State Warriors forward got his injured left knee examined for the second opinion and is still trying to know what is wrong, a league source informed ESPN. The team, on the other hand, has given an official label to Andre’s injury as a left lateral leg contusion. Andre plans to search for a new remedy for the injury in the coming days, said sources and his status for playing in Game 1 of the NBA Finals against the Cleveland Cavaliers are still not known.
Andre, the Finals MVP of the year 2015, has not played in the last four games after he bumped his knees with James Harden, the Houston Rockets All-Star in Game 3 of the Western Conference finals.
Steve Kerr, the Warriors coach, said on Monday morning that Andre is still having a hard time staying away into the playoffs.
Kerr said, “He’s frustrated. His body has not responded at this point.”
On the other hand, the team seems to have taken a break with another player. Draymond Green rolled his ankle in Game 7 on Monday.
Green told ESPN, “I told Chelsea Lane during the game that I rolled my ankle badly, and I don’t feel a thing right now. I know it was the adrenaline. After the game, wooooo.”
Green, who has managed to register 10 points, 5 assists and 13 boards, has walked with a noticeable limp after the team’s 101-92 win. After he received treatment, he looked fine. He thinks that he would be playing for Game 1 of the Finals. He said, “I’ll be good, though.”
Furthermore, it is said that the Warriors will be able to win the NBA title this year even without Andre as they include four of the top 20 players playing in the league.
