Gervonta Davis showed no mercy when he defeated Rolando Romero in a WBA lightweight title fight at the Barclays Center. After knocking Romero out in the sixth round and sending him through the ropes, Davis decided to add insult to injury by trolling his opponent on Instagram.
The undefeated 27-year-old boxing champ shared a meme on Instagram featuring a picture of a knocked-out Romero on the ropes juxtaposed with a photo of Martin Lawrence in a similar pose from his ’90s sitcom “Martin.”
Despite his impressive 27-0 record with 25 wins by knockout, Davis is ranked as the third-best lightweight boxer in the world according to ESPN’s latest rankings.
