The team secured two field goals by Dustin Hopkins and a touchdown following a fumble recovery by Chase Young from Daron Payne. Conversely, the 49ers were unable to capitalize on their early lead, a trend that persisted into the third quarter. Washington continued to dominate by adding a field goal and another touchdown as the quarter came to a close, with Kamren Curl intercepting Nicholas Mullens’ pass to Kyle Juszczyk.
Washington maintained their lead until the end of the third quarter. However, the final quarter belonged to the 49ers, with Juszczyk scoring a touchdown from Mullens’ pass with just ten minutes remaining, and no further points were added by either team.
