It has been announced by Adam Schefter that Eagles Head Coach Doug Pederson has decided to make Jalen Hurts, the second-round draft pick, the new starting quarterback.
Hurts stepped in for Wentz during the third quarter of the recent loss to the Packers, indicating a change was on the horizon.
Carson Wentz currently leads the NFL in turnovers with 19 and has been sacked 50 times.
During his time playing for Alabama and Oklahoma over a four-year span, Hurts completed 682 passes out of 1,047 attempts (65.1 percent) for a total of 9,477 yards, achieving 80 touchdowns along with 20 interceptions. Additionally, he rushed 614 times totaling 3,274 yards (at an average of 5.3 yards per carry) and scored 43 touchdowns.
