The Washington Football Team has let go of safety Sean Davis, according to a source informed by ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
This move comes as a surprise as Davis had recently signed a one-year deal with Washington, which included a $2 million signing bonus.
Davis sat out most of the 2019 season with the Pittsburgh Steelers due to a shoulder injury he sustained in Week 2, leading to his placement on injured reserve.
The 26-year-old has been a starter in 41 out of his 48 career games and has recorded 247 tackles, five interceptions, and 2.5 sacks.
