It seems like Dez Bryant’s hope for a reunion with the Dallas Cowboys may not come to fruition.
On Saturday, the Cowboys surprised everyone by signing Andy Dalton to a one-year contract worth up to $7 million, with $3 million guaranteed.
Shortly after the announcement, former Cowboys wide receiver and current free agent Dez Bryant voiced his disapproval on Twitter, criticizing the team for signing Dalton instead of prioritizing a deal with Dak Prescott.
“Nothing against Andy Dalton because I think he’s a great player… but the Cowboys are extremely out of line… Pay Dak… I watched the Cowboys pay Tony twice, once without a winning record… I guess the Cowboys view the QB position as a plug-in piece because of the dominant offense.”
Dalton will join Dak Prescott, Cooper Rush, Clayton Thorson, and newly-drafted Ben DiNucci as quarterbacks on the Dallas roster.
