Stephen Curry was out for 58 games due to a left hand injury that sidelined him for four months. However, he made a triumphant return on Thursday night, scoring 23 points to demonstrate his full recovery.
Curry led the Golden State Warriors onto the court but they ended up losing to the Toronto Raptors with a score of 121-113. Despite missing his initial shots, Curry picked up momentum with three quick assists. By the end of the game, he had accumulated seven assists in 26 minutes of play.
“It feels like going back to the first day of school,” Curry expressed before the game. “It’s about rediscovering the joy of playing basketball at the highest level. It’s a process.”
In terms of point scoring, Curry tied with Daimon Lee at 23 points for the Warriors. Eric Paschall led in assists with eight, just edging past Curry’s seven, while Marquese Chriss topped the rebounds with 12, followed by Andrew Wiggins with nine.
Although the Warriors led in both assists (34 to 28) and rebounds (52 to 39) over the Raptors, the night belonged to the Raptors, who clinched a playoff spot thanks to a remarkable 37-point performance by Norman Powell.
