Las Vegas authorities are seeking the DNA of Cristiano Ronaldo, the renowned Portuguese soccer player. This request comes after Kathryn Mayorga filed a lawsuit accusing Ronaldo of sexually assaulting her in Vegas back in 2009.
Recently, Sports Illustrated reported that the Las Vegas police have obtained a warrant for Cristiano Ronaldo’s DNA in connection to the rape case. The authorities are revisiting the case and are interested in comparing Ronaldo’s DNA with the one found on the dress Mayorga was wearing on the night of the incident.
The warrant has been forwarded to the legal system in Italy, where Ronaldo is currently based for his soccer commitments. Once the warrant is processed, authorities plan to collect the DNA sample from Ronaldo and send it back to the United States for analysis.
