Josh Taylor now eyes Regis Prograis final for WBSS journey

In the recent development, it has been seen that Josh Taylor has now started his World Boxing Super Series campaign which is said to be against Ryan Martin on Saturday. It is now hoped that it will finish with against another American in Regis Prograis. Prograis, who is said to be No.1 in the eight-man tournament which is said to be in the second season and has defeated England’s Terry Flanagan which is said to be unanimously on the points in the quarterfinal bout which was taken place on the weekend.

Prograis who is 29 years of old is from New Orleans, but he gets trained at Houston. He has faced WBA world super-lightweight champion Kiryl Relikh, who is 28 years of old of Belarus in the semifinals. The winner of Taylor-Martin is said to be the progress for the semifinal which is against the new IBF champion Ivan Baranchyk. He is 25 years of old from Russia who is said to be stopped Anthony Yigit, who is 27 years of Sweden on a cut during the seventh round on Sunday.

Taylor has got an impressive start in his professional ranks and has outpointed former world champion Viktor Postol during his last outing in June. Edinburgh-born Taylor said that he would train in London with coach Shane McGuigan who will also get the benefit of home advantage which is said to be against Martin of Cleveland as he walks out to see SSE Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland. It is said that Taylor will be defending his WBC Silver super-lightweight title. It is a secondary belt to the governing body by American Jose Ramirez. He is now hoping to meet Prograis during the next year final for the WBA as well as IBF titles.
