According to the reports suggested by ESPN, the Nevada State Athletic Commission has decided to file formal complaints against Conor McGregor, and Khabib Nurmagomedov following the extraordinarily unprofessional but entertainment shitshow took place soon after their championship bout on Saturday. It was predicted from the show, and this will inevitably take place in spite of the conversation which has shifted to a rematch.
Anthony Marnell, chairman of NSAC, has reportedly confirmed to ESPN that they are now conducting a complete investigation based on the melee fight after the show, the investigators will carry out a substantial evaluation of the film along with interviewing the two players.NSAC reportedly withheld the $2 million paychecks for anticipating in filing a complaint, but they have allegedly paid $3 million to McGregor, but they have planned to complain about him as soon as they finish checking the tape.
Marnell said “We will be filing against Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov,” he continued saying that “Because we withheld one purse, we will have to move expeditiously to a complaint and hearing. We have held 100 per cent of one of the fighter’s money, so the goal is to get the complaints out in the next 24 to 48 hours.”
The two Mixed Martial Arts players were immediately arrested after the brawl, but they were let go after McGregor had declined pressing charges against Nurmagomedov. In spite of McGregor’s refusal, Marnell said that the commission is still looking into punishing the trio.
Nurmagomedov has publicly apologised to the commission after the fight, but he is still facing the fine threat along with a suspension. Dana White, on the other hand, said that, if Nurmagomedov is out for a substantial period, then UFC might take away his title belt.
The goal of NSAC is to hold on to the disciplinary hearing which is directly related to this fiasco.
