It can be bad news for New York Jets as the team’s popular defensive coordinator Kacy Rodgers is now facing some health issues. Following the health issue, he missed the practice on Friday. Some sources have stated that he will not be the able to coach the team on Sunday.
This report was announced by the coach of New York Jets Todd Bowles. While announcing this, he stated that Rodger is a strong guy and this is something very serious.
As per the report, Rodgers coached practice on Thursday, but he skipped the media session following his appointment with the doctor. On Friday he didn’t come to the facility.
Till now, Coach Bowles has not given any specifics about the health issues of Rogers. He just states that this is not the right moment to discuss the matter.
Talking about Rogers and Bowles, they are very close friends, and the duo was coached together while working with the Dallas Cowboys and Miami Dolphins. Later, in 2015, Bowels became the coach of New York Jets. After that Bowls gave the post of defensive coordinator of the team to Rogers.
Reacting on this situation, Henry Anderson the defensive end of the team stated that all players of the team are thinking about this and this news has affected the entire team. As per the new report, the team’s coach Bowles will take the responsibility of Rogers in the match in which the Jets will play with the Denver Broncos. The match will be held on Sunday at MetLife Stadium.
The team will play the match without the cornerback Trumaine Johnson. He was injured while practising Thursday and suffered from strained quadriceps. He may not be able to play some matches. It is expected that the Jets will place Nickelback Buster Skrine into the starting lineup.
