The official results of the rematch between Gennady Golovkin and Canelo Alvarez have stated something entirely different which took place two weeks ago. The former middleweight champion said that “he didn’t lose the fight.”
The match between Golovkin and Alvarez was one of the most anticipated boxing matches after the draw of 2017. Canelo Alvarez, by the narrowest margins, had won the middleweight title two weeks ago. This was the first loss of Gennady Golovkin, and he handed his longtime championship title to Alvarez.
Two judges out of three have thought the other and in the different controversial result which was taken by the majority of decisions in the rematch which was engulfed with pure drama on 15th of September in Las Vegas. Normally, judging a boxing match is incredibly nuanced and difficult and involves a subjective decision making. After facing off in the boxing ring against Alvarez, Golovkin scored 0-1-1.
Golovkin even told that “He was more aggressive this time, but he still did not back me up and he did not do enough to take my titles.”
Hublot, the luxury watchmaker who is also one of the sponsors of Golovkin hosted a sweet, happy hour party the day after the crucial fight of his life. Golovkin couldn’t attend the party as he was still recovering from the defeat. Hublot first stepped into the sphere of boxing back in 2012, and its partnership with one of the top-notch pound for pound boxers has been placed in the centre and the front of the pair of pants that Golovkin wears in the ring.
