New York Giants Doctor Finds Tumor in Brittan Golden’s Mouth

New York Giants doctor discovered a tumor in Brittan Golden’s mouth

Despite not landing a contract this offseason, veteran wide receiver Brittan Golden is thankful to the New York Giants for inviting him to the Quest Diagnostics Training Center for a tryout.During his workout with the Giants, the 30-year-old receiver, known for his special teams play with the Cardinals, discovered a tumor in his mouth while exploring free agency with various teams this year.

Reflecting on the experience, Golden shared with Fox Sports, “They probably had the most comprehensive physical examination I’ve ever undergone, which turned out to be a good thing. The workout went smoothly, but their doctor identified a small tumor in my mouth.”

Following the alarming finding by the Giants’ medical team, Golden underwent an immediate biopsy in Houston, his hometown. Fortunately, the results brought relief. “The tumor was confirmed to be benign, ruling out cancer, which was the best news,” Golden expressed.

In light of the diagnosis, Golden anticipates undergoing surgery in the coming week, projecting a recovery period of around 4 to 6 weeks. While this timeframe may impact his chances of securing a contract this season, the birth of his twins alongside his wife earlier in the week provides comfort amidst the uncertainty.
