Reports suggest that veteran wide receiver Dez Bryant is keen on joining the Pittsburgh Steelers if the opportunity arises. Bryant, who is currently a free agent after parting ways with the Dallas Cowboys, has shown interest in a potential collaboration with the Steelers. This interest was evident when he retweeted a post from a Steelers fan and received a personal invitation from Antonio Brown to join the team.
Antonio Brown recently shared that he extended a personal invitation to Dez Bryant out of friendship and a shared ambition to succeed in the NFL. However, according to Steelers reporter Jim Wexell, the team is not actively pursuing Bryant at this time.
Speaking about his invitation to Bryant, Antonio Brown stated, “Dez is a close friend of mine, we entered the league around the same time. I believe in his potential for greatness, and I wanted to show my support by welcoming him to join us. Winning a Super Bowl is the ultimate goal, and I think Dez can contribute to that.”
When asked if he had discussed Bryant’s potential addition with Steelers GM Kevin Colbert, Brown mentioned that Colbert is well-equipped to make the right decisions for the team given his vast experience in the industry.
The Steelers’ receiving unit is currently led by Antonio Brown, who made NFL history last season by achieving 1000 catches for five straight seasons. The team also recently drafted James Washington from Oklahoma State and re-signed Eli Rogers before the start of training camp to bolster their receiving corps.
