On Wednesday, an arrest warrant has been issued for the New York Jets wide receiver Robby Anderson, who did not show up at a Florida Court on Tuesday, as per the records of Broward County court.
Notably, Anderson was supposed to appear in the court for a morning arraignment hearing for a reckless driving case against him from January, but the attorney representing Anderson, Ed O’Donnell said that they were unaware about any such trial and did not receive any notice from the court.
As per the information from the Broward County State Attorney office, the charges against Anderson were dropped on April 3 as there were not enough evidence. January’s arrest marks the second time Anderson has been arrested in a nine-month span of time. He was earlier arrested at a music festival held in Miami in May 2017 and was charged for resisting to get arrested for violence. He is still waiting for a trial which is scheduled to take place on August 6.
As per the arrest report from the January incident, Anderson has been alleged of doing 105 mph in a 45 mph zone through a traffic stop and ran missing out two red light. He was all over the roadway before he stopped. The police alleged that once Anderson was taken into custody, he did not agree to cooperate and resisted for sitting on the backside of the police car. Once he sat in his car, he used profanity and used disgusting language against a police officer’s wife.
Anderson had a good breakout session when he played with the Jets as he was the reason why the team won with 941 receiving yards and seven touchdowns. It was Anderson who made the Jets as a team in the year 2016 when he was an undrafted free agent.
