The teaser for “Aaron Rodgers: Enigma” highlights the seasoned quarterback in action for the Green Bay Packers. It depicts him undergoing the rehabilitation process as he gears up for a comeback with the New York Jets.
Additionally, the trailer features Rodgers outside of football, attending retreats in tropical destinations. At one moment, he is seen meditating while someone plays a Tibetan singing bowl to enhance the experience with sound.
The series is also expected to explore Rodgers’ polarizing presence in public life.
“There’s football legacy, and then there’s character legacy,” Rodgers states in the trailer. “When that ride comes to a stop, who are you going to be?”
As stated in Netflix’s description, “Aaron Rodgers: Enigma” will include commentary from notable figures. This roster features Hall of Fame quarterback Brett Favre, who was a former teammate of Rodgers in Green Bay.
Also appearing is Super Bowl champion running back Marshawn Lynch, who shared college football days with Rodgers, alongside politician Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who was nominated by President-elect Donald Trump to lead the Department of Health and Human Services.
A brief segment of the trailer showcases RFK Jr. probing Rodgers about whether he has considered entering the political arena.
The documentary will premiere on Netflix as Rodgers wraps up what has been a challenging first full season as quarterback for the Jets. This season has had its difficulties, with the AFC East team struggling at 3-9 after the first 12 games and making the decision to dismiss head coach Robert Saleh and GM Joe Douglas.
