Josh McDaniels denied joining the Colts

Colts general manager Chris Ballard has given a perfect reaction to the Patriots and offensive coordinator, Josh McDaniels and he ended the news conference held on Wednesday by saying The rivalry is back on.

As per the report, McDaniels suddenly reversed field and later informed that he will stay with New-England and will not accept the offer to be the next head coach of the Colts. On Tuesday, McDaniels informed this to Ballard. McDaniels called him that was a just five-minute phone conversation.

During the news conference, Ballard said “I just said, ‘I just need a yes or no answer. Are you in or out?’” We went around for a minute and he said he’s out, and I said, ‘OK, we’re gonna move forward. I wish you the best of luck.” He further stated that he had not found any persuasion. As the team has a lot of work to do, Ballard wanted someone who can give 100 percent commitment to the team and get that work done.

Well, that will not create any obstacle for the Colts. Wednesday, Ballard assured the fans that very soon the colts will get the perfect head coach who can take the place of Chuck Pagano. The Colts fired Pagano in January after six seasons.

While doing a search to select the coach, the Colts first identified McDaniels as their primary candidate and they were waiting for the Patriots to finish their matches to Super Bowl LII. Sources said Indianapolis will now take interview of Dan Campbell on Thursday who is the assistant head coach of New Orleans Saints. After that, on Friday the team authority will interview Frank Reich, offensive coordinator of Philadelphia Eagles.

It may be noted that Ballard was much confident that McDaniels would be their next coach and he also announced they had agreed to deal with him on Tuesday. That’s why the team had arranged a press conference to introduce him on Wednesday.
