The woman who has accused Quinshon Judkins, the rookie running back for the Cleveland Browns, of domestic violence informed a 911 dispatcher that she was “still in pain” and displayed “visible bruises” days after the alleged incident. This information was revealed in audio released by TMZ on Tuesday.

Judkins, aged 21, was arrested in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on Saturday, facing charges of touch or strike battery/domestic violence. These charges follow a reported incident on July 7, during which the woman alleged that Judkins punched her in the face while they were in a vehicle departing from the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. Furthermore, she claimed he had struck her in the arm and thigh.

In her 911 call, the woman explained that she delayed contacting authorities for three days because she initially hoped to resolve the situation privately. “I had a high-profile male that I was in a relationship with put his hands on me. This happened three days ago,” she said. “I thought that we could work through it and obviously we couldn’t. I’m trying to do the right thing now.”

While she did not seek medical attention, she mentioned having “visible bruises and evidence” of the assault.

The responding officers from the Fort Lauderdale Police Department noted visible signs of injury upon arriving at her apartment, leading to Judkins’ arrest. He was subsequently booked by the Broward County Sheriff’s Office.

Drafted in April as a second-round pick, Judkins was selected 36th overall by the Browns. He began his collegiate career at Ole Miss and later transferred to Ohio State, where he played a pivotal role in leading the Buckeyes to a national championship last season. Over three college seasons, he amassed 3,785 rushing yards and 45 touchdowns, showcasing exceptional talent, including a standout performance in his freshman year in 2022. Notably, he clocked in at 4.48 seconds during the 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine.

Irrespective of the legal proceedings, Judkins may still face penalties under the NFL’s Personal Conduct Policy, which could include a six-game suspension for violations related to domestic violence.
