Legendary boxer Mike Tyson has shared his voting preference for the upcoming 2024 U.S. presidential election.
During the 2020 election, Tyson was one of the high-profile athletes who publicly supported Donald Trump in his reelection bid. However, Trump ultimately lost to Joe Biden.
Surprising the world, Biden recently announced that he will not run for reelection at the end of his term. While the Democratic Party has not made a final decision, Vice President Kamala Harris is expected to be the nominee running against Trump.
On the “Ebro in the Morning Podcast” with hosts Ebro Darden, Laura Stylez, and Pete Rosenberg, Tyson unequivocally stated his voting choice for this year’s election:
“I’m voting for Trump, so what’s somebody gonna do about it? So what,” Tyson declared.

Joe Biden’s decision not to seek reelection would make him the first U.S. president since Lyndon Johnson in 1968 to opt out. In 1968, Republican Richard Nixon defeated Democrat Hubert Humphrey in a closely contested election.
If Trump secures victory in this election, he would be the second U.S. president to serve two non-consecutive terms. Grover Cleveland is the only president to have achieved this, holding office from 1885 to1889 and 1893 to 1897, with Benjamin Harrison in between Cleveland’s terms.
Following his retirement from professional boxing in 2005, Tyson returned in 2020 for an exhibition match against Roy Jones Jr., which ended as a split draw. Tyson is scheduled to fight Jake Paul on November 15 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
