The Washington Huskies are facing more bad news as the team deals with setbacks.

First, they suffered a big loss to the Michigan Wolverines in the national championship game on Monday. Then head coach Kalen DeBoer left to take over as the head coach for the Alabama Crimson Tide following Nick Saban’s retirement.

And now? Following DeBoer’s sudden departure, four-star recruit and linebacker Zaydrius Rainey-Sale has decided to de-commit from the Huskies, as he announced on Twitter:

Rainey-Sale is ranked among the top 100 prospects for the 2025 by 247 Sports. The standout linebacker hails from Bethel High School in Spanaway, Washington, which is located about 45 miles from Seattle.
